Wanjie India will provide and install the machine, signalling a strategic shift for the Surat-based label producer, which has been striving to diversify its operations and respond to an increase in short-to-medium orders.

Market demand patterns have evolved. Customers are increasingly looking for smaller volumes and speedier deliveries. "We are receiving more orders for small quantities, but our current full rotary machine is not ideal for that," said Inderchand Kumawat from Spana Label House. "That is the main reason we decided to go for the Wanjie Advance 350."

Rakesh Patel of Wanjie India's promise for prompt service and support played an important role to ink the deal. "That was a significant factor in our decision," Kumawat stated.

Sapna Label House researched three to four brands before settling on the Wanjie Advance 350. They felt that the Wanjie press provided the best balance of quality, features, and cost. "It is the best machine in our budget out of all the brands we evaluated," according to the Kumawat.

The business highlights the press's superior print quality as one of its most appealing features. The deciding factors, however, were speed and automation.

One major feature is the automatic plate punch machine, which can complete jobs in four to five minutes. For a company wishing to manage a higher number of short-run orders, this is a significant productivity boost. "This feature will help us improve our production capabilities. "We'll be able to print more short-run jobs in less time," Kumawat stated.

The machine's rotary die-cutting unit, paired with its rapid registration adjustment, allows most projects to be performed in a single pass. This eliminates handling, speeds up delivery, and minimises waste.

Sapna Label House intends to focus the new press on two important segments: small-quantity labels and pharmaceutical labels. Cold foil, which is required for many pharmaceutical and luxury packaging operations, was not available in their current setup. The new machine's integrated cold-foil capability closes that gap. "We do a lot of cold-foil work, and that function isn't available on our present equipment. "This will directly support our productivity goals," Kumawat stated.

The new system, which has automation through CIP3, auto remote ink, and hybrid offset-flexo capability, is projected to improve production predictability and reduce reliance on manual corrections.

The company anticipates the expenditure to increase its brand reach in Surat and throughout Western India's label market. Faster turnaround times and the capacity to handle different applications, particularly small-run operations, are expected to help them gain new clients. "We will be able to focus on more industries and deliver all jobs within committed timelines," Kumawat said.
