Santa Creative starts digital printing journey with Canon
Based in Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, Santa Creative is a new business start-up engaged in high-quality digital printing. It started its digital printing journey for commercial graphics following the installation of a brand-new Canon ImagePress V700 digital colour production press, bought from Canon India.

Santa Creative was established as a graphic design firm in 2016. “With a deep understanding of what our clients want, we have eventually included digital printing in our business. Now, our clients who come to us for graphic design can get their work printed right away because we are equipped with the advanced iPR V700. This new Canon digital colour production press is fully packed with all the advanced features and capabilities which we had been looking for,” Antony S, proprietor of Santa Creative, said.
He added, “We had done a kind of market survey extensively when we planned to buy a brand new and highly-capable digital colour production press. A number of company representatives had invited us to various live demonstrations of digital presses from many brands other than Canon. At the end of the day, we switched to iPR V700 because the parameters of this Canon digital press meet all that we need.”
Built compact in a small footprint for oversized production of high-end and textured graphics, iPR V700 is a digital production system capable of offering graphic prints in the resolution of 2,400x2,400-dpi. It’s not only the print quality but also the media versatility for which this Canon digital press is known. It compatibly prints on a wide variety of thin and thick stocks, starting from 52- up to 350-gsm, at the speed of 70 A4ppm.
Anthony says that the iPR V700’s capability to handle the thick media up to 350-gsm has opened up a new opportunity for them to work on applications like posters and such graphics which any other print shop in Thisayanvilai town could ever produce.
