S Chand launches NCF 2023-aligned learning series

Reflecting on this vision, Jitendra Agnihotri, CEO, S Chand Publishing (School Education), said, “The government, schools, teachers, and principals are the primary drivers of this vision – and the other important driver is the textbook. A well-designed textbook plays a vital role in translating the goals of NCF 2023 into classroom reality. Training, curriculum design, and pedagogy all become more impactful when seamlessly integrated into the textbook. NCF 2023 emphasises future-ready skills, technological awareness, AI, SDGs, and vocational education – and our new series have been designed with these priorities at their core.”

He added, “Our mission has always been to provide schools with meaningful learning solutions that go beyond academics. As a front-runner in educational publishing, S Chand’s new series make the lives of educators and learners easier while ensuring alignment with national priorities. New Mylestone, Financial Literacy, Art Exploration, and My Wellbeing Book: Mind, Body, and Soul reflect our commitment to preparing students for the future – not just in knowledge, but in character.”

New Mylestone (Nursery to Class 8) – a new-age, future-ready course – reimagines classroom learning through a 360-degrees approach integrating academics, values, life skills, and co-curricular growth. Developed in line with the latest NCERT syllabus, the series introduces Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and STEAM-based projects, encouraging learners to think critically, innovate, and apply knowledge meaningfully. With competency-based assessments and a focus on conceptual and skill development, New Mylestone equips students for a future shaped by technology, creativity, and collaboration.

Complementing it are three specialised programs focused on holistic development:

Art Exploration (Classes 1 to 8) offers a vibrant platform for visual literacy, creativity, and craftsmanship through an engaging blend of Art & Craft and Photography. By linking art education to observation and self-expression, it nurtures imagination, perspective, and creative confidence – aligning with NCF’s emphasis on vocational and experiential learning.

Recognising that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is one of the key themes highlighted in NCF 2023, My Wellbeing Book: Mind, Body, and Soul (Classes 1 to 8) focuses on nurturing students’ emotional and mental health through stories, reflections, and real-life contexts – fostering mindfulness, empathy, and resilience for lifelong well-being.

Further strengthening essential life skills, Financial Literacy (Classes 3 to 8) — developed in collaboration with MoneyPrep Inc., a global leader in financial education – introduces children to money management through age-appropriate lessons and real-world examples. Addressing a crucial gap identified in a recent Muvin and Momspresso survey, which revealed that 96% of Indian parents feel their children lack adequate financial knowledge, the series helps students understand saving, spending, budgeting, and entrepreneurship – supporting NEP 2020’s vision of building financially informed and responsible citizens.

Dr Priyamvada Agarwal, publishing and marketing Head, S Chand Publishing (School Education), concluded, “These series bring together the best of academic rigour, creativity, and emotional intelligence. New Mylestone, with its AI and STEAM integration; Financial Literacy, with its focus on real-world understanding; Art Exploration, with its creative expression; and My Well-Being, with its life-skill focus – together create a balanced ecosystem for holistic development. Our goal is to make learning joyful, inclusive, and deeply relevant to a child’s world – and responsive to the needs of today’s fast-changing world.”
