For the second year in a row, the event was held at Swabhumi, a tourist destination at the eastern fringe of Kolkata. The reason being, first, there was an increase in participation of members in the recent past and secondly, giving shape to the aspirations of the members to have an event at par with the other elite alumni associations of different trades.

According to RIPTAA sources, the gain was very evident from the fact that it not only boosted the participation of members, young and old, but also installed a belief in the minds of sponsors / advertisers, that they have put their faith and money in a forward looking vibrant organisation.

At the event, stalwarts from printing and allied industries shared their views on the theme of the conference. These included Snehasis Roy, technical director, Times Group, Rajendra Kumar Anayeth, vice-chancellor, DCSTU, Kamal Chopra, president, AIFMP, among others.

From the industry, Pradip Ghaisas of TechNova, Nagmani Singh of Avery Dennison, Amitava Chakraborty of Huber and Neeraj Sharma of Creed Engineers weighed in with their technical knowhow and generated a lot of interest among the alumni present about the new products.
