PrintWeek India and Goethe Institut to host Print Fair
PrintWeek India, in collaboration with Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai, will host ‘Print Fair’, a five-day event to showcase the depth and breadth of top print work and print ideas in India. The show is slated for 6 to 10 November at Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai.

Ramu Ramanathan, editor, PrintWeek India, said, “We intend for the Print Fair to represent the full spectrum of the best of Indian print work. And send a strong message that print is here to stay and prosper till 2030,” said Ramanathan.
At Print Fair, the best print samples from the PrintWeek India Awards with a range of diverse interests, will be laid out and documented for the benefit of the visitors, which will include students, designers, print production professionals, print buyers, brand owners, etc. Besides this, Print Fair will feature an array of print workshops, panel discussions, and print-related film screenings etc on each day of the show from 6:00pm at MMB Library.
The Print Fair will see the launch of PrintWeek India's Book Special - a compilation of 36 publishers’ interviews at MMB Library on 6 November. At the launch, Prof Sreekumar of Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay and Ramdas Bhatkal of Popular Prakashan will discuss the history of books in India.
It will also focus on screening of print-related films. Besides this, print experts will feature various print museum from across the world and discuss the future of print. along with a literary evening celebrating 150 years of books in Mumbai. The evening will highlight best books on Mumbai in four different languages namely English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati.
A B2B workshop, which is also slated at the fair will have print firms discuss print innovations and trends for the audience from design community.
According to Ramanathan, the plan is to make print accessible and relevant to everyone.
