PrintPack 2022: Multi Hitech and PGI merge tooling business

Multi Hitech Inc and PGI, the leading manufacturers for magnetic and print cylinders have joined hands and have decided to merge their tooling businesses. This move means consolidation for magnetic and print cylinders manufacturing in India.

DK Garg, partner Multi Hitech told PrintWeek in an exclusive interview that "This is aimed to take our expertise and capabilities to new heights and serve both the Indian and the global label industry with our technological expertise."

As per this agreement, PGI will cease their tooling business with immediate effect. All operations and sales, from now on will be taken over by Multi Hitech at their newly built state of the art unit in Greater Noida.

To support PGI's existing domestic as well as export customers during the transition period Sanjeev Atre, the chairman of PGI will be associated with Multi Hitech as a technical director.

Meanwhile Multi Hitech has decided to add new high precision machinery to add to their capabilities. DK Garg told PrintWeek that "This will not only enable faster delivery schedules with ultra-precision but will also make their products at par with the world standards."

New Delhi-based Multi Hitech completed 100 conversions of perfectors into straight machines in January 2022. The unit is located in Kasna Industrial Area, Greater Noida. Garg informed PrintWeek that as of today, "The company has 5000 sq ft. With the expansion process, we have a total 11000 sq ft area."
