Vinsak will have live demonstrations of Lombardi Synchroline 430 flexo press, with a new Bravo flat screen printing unit.

Besides this, Vinsak will demonstrate Usar finishing system consisting of inkjet, die-cutting, slitting and rewinding; Vinsak TTR slitter-rewinder; Schober die-cutting modules for conversion, and Fasicuchain blockchain technology for packaging.

Ranesh Bajaj, managing director, Vinsak hinted of a new tie-up for label pre-press, which, according to Bajaj, will be a major game changer in the field of flexo pre-press. He said the announcement will be made at the show.

Speaking about the current state of the Indian print market, Bajaj said, “One sees a definite shift in focus from commercial print to labels and packaging. This is the part of the print that will grow for the next few years for sure. Also with paper prices softening in 2019 and focus on sustainable packaging growing, kraft paper applications will grow much beyond the grown of single-use plastics. As a technology, flexo continues to make the maximum strides against gravure and offset.”

In that sense, Vinsak has focused on web solutions, which Bajaj said, helps in reducing the number of steps of production from the substrate to the finished products. Bajaj added, “We are able to bring down to a maximum of two steps against five to six steps being used in the sheetfed process. This reduction leads to savings in manpower, savings in wastage and a quicker turnaround times for the finished product.”

Vinsak currently has more than 50 unique companies using one or more of our solutions. Out of the 10 new installs in 2017, four ordered the second set of equipment in 2018.

“The solutions enable converters to efficiently print labels, packaging and security documents. The add-ons allow high-quality embellishment which adds value to the package as well as provides brand protection,” Bajaj pointed out.

Vinsak will also highlight Iwasaki range of intermittent label presses and Pantec range of foiling equipment although the machines will not be demonstrated during the show.

The countdown to the PrintPack India 2019 has begun. The six-day show with more than 480 exhibitors and over 24,500 sqm of booked floorspace is set to commence on 1 February 2019 at the India Expo Centre in Greater Noida.
