Pivot Solutions has introduced a new plate-mounting machine at Pamex 2026 in Mumbai. The unit is designed to complement flexographic printing operations and represents a shift in the domestic market to be manufactured commercially by an Indian company. Historically, Indian printing houses have relied on imported machinery from Europe and China for this stage of production.
Hayat Rafique, managing director of Pivot Solutions, stated that the initiative is driven by a spirit of domestic innovation. He noted that while the company engages in various business activities, the focus for this launch was to address a gap in the local manufacturing sector. According to Rafique, many global manufacturers prioritise designs that are easy to produce, whereas Pivot Solutions focused on a design centred on the requirements of the operator.
The machine features an unconventional upside-down configuration intended to simplify the mounting process for printers. Rafique explained that the goal was to move away from manufacturer-centric engineering and toward a user-focused interface.
The reception at the event resulted in several immediate commercial outcomes. Rafique confirmed that the company has secured two verbal bookings following the submission of formal offers during the show. Additionally, the specific unit on display had been pre-ordered by a large printing house based in Mumbai. Pivot Solutions plans to transport the exhibition machine directly to the client’s facility following the conclusion of Pamex.
