Where is the party tonight!

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Indeed. This, however, doesn’t have to be your reality at Drupa 2016, which begins on 31 May and goes on until 10 June.

We have been telling you how huge the event, the largest show on earth for the graphic art industry, in Dusseldorf, Germany is going be. Consider the sheer size – 19 halls covering an area of 1,50,200 sq/m. Consider the exhibitors – total 1,650 from more than 50 countries. Consider what’s on offer – functional printing, industrial printing, 3D, digital and packaging, everything.

There is simply too much to see, too much to do, and it’s easy to get all worked up. But you will need to remain calm and collected and in the best of your mood. It’s important to mix business with pleasure and sometimes you simply need to work hard and party harder.

Good news is exhibitors have come to the rescue and have planned a host of activities to make your stay a Dusseldorf a pleasant experience.

EFI will be serving good and healthy food during the exhibition because Guy Gecht, CEO, EFI, wants his customers to be healthy. Japanese digital giant Epson will be having ‘happy hour’ every day after the exhibition at its stall. Visitors could drop by with their local contact. Another Japanese company, Canon, will serve simple food.

The packaging post-press specialist Bobst, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary, will serve variety of food from all over the world. Fujifilm will serve Japanese gourmet at its stall. Kolbus would serve high quality light food for all kind of dietary requirements while Pitney Bowes would serve a selection of sweet and savoury snacks with drinks.

American conglomerate Xerox has organised multiple parties dedicated to different geographies.

Konica Minolta will have small parties daily and the Japanese giant has booked a circus stadium for 6 June. The company will also serve variety of food from vegan to fish.

The dynamic and ever-smiling Christopher Graf of Hybrid Software said the Hybrid party would be in a stadium and the drink for the night would be quality Belgian beer.

Meanwhile, Kodak is planning India Night, an invite only event primarily for internal team and partners. There would roughly be about 40 people, including senior management and sales teams, at the Kodak booth. Some refreshments, beverages and light snacks will be served over the one-hour get together on June 4.

Other party dates to remember – Esko and X-Rite on 3 June, HP on 4 June, Xerox and Goss and Contiweb on 5 June and Canon on 6 June. You would know the venue.
