Creofoil and Award Offset Printers signed a deal for a 36-inches machine.

“Smartfoil is a make in India machine, made from a converter point of view. It is economical, and the embellishment range is vast, from five to 500 microns. The foil does not undergo any cracking issues,” Nitin Shah of Award Offset Printers, said.

Piyush Bhootwala, director, Creofoil, said, “We are a leading player in manufacturing raw material in-house and machines as well. We have not only designed the machine, but also supply foils and chemicals. In that sense, we are a solutions provider.”

According to Bhootwala, Smartfoil is designed to provide the best-in-class solutions. Currently, it pioneers auto-take of three-mm with gripper utility, unlike sucker grippers.

The UV materials that Creofoil employs are economical; with Rs 2,200/kg and the foil rolls are comparatively the same as being used in hot foil stamping. It can print on substrates of 25 to 300 microns and is capable of running a minimum of 57-gsm paper and maximum 10-mm acrylic.

“At Creofoil, we offer solutions for UV chemicals with hot foil stamping simultaneously. We can print on both laminated and non-laminate substrates. It has a wide range of applications from plastics like PP, PE, PVC to acrylic laminate, wood, glass, all substrates.” Bhootwala added.
