PackPlus South 2013 concludes

The four-day PackPlus South show concluded today with the organiser claiming to have seen more than 7,734 visitor footfall. The show was hosted at Hyderabad's Hitex International Exhibition Centre.

Unlike its previous edition, this edition of the show was free for the visitors. More than 250 exhibitors participated and showcased their products.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Neetu Arora of Print-Packaging.com, the organiser of the show, said, “We are extremely happy with the visitor turnout for the four day show.” She added, "We try to offer newer things to the visitors at every show we conduct. It is should not be merely a show, it should have a long-lasting effect. The show should in return provide value-add to not only the visitors but also the exhibitors.

Besides the exhibition, the organising company also hosted a two-day conclave, PackAge and CorruPack at Novatel, a venue next to the exhibition centre.

The theme of the first day of the conclave was on visualising packaging needs – for the coming decade while on the theme on the second day was retail ready corrugated packaging – the evolving scenario. The two day conclave witnesses eminent speakers who spoke on various topics. Arora said, “The Conclave is not only a conference, but it is the platform where everyone will benefit through exchange of thoughts.”
