Kolkata-based New Printex India recently invested in a Canon ImagePress V700 digital colour production system from Canon India.
Mumtazur Rahman, proprietor of New Printex India, said, “The printing industry is such a dynamic domain where technological changes and introductions of new machines take place swiftly like wildfires. Over the last five decades of our business, tremendous trends and changes in the industry have emerged and we keep following them. Digital printing is one such prolific arena. We are now exploring it further for expansion.”
He added, “Gaining traction in various jobs and applications such as short-run items, POD (print-on-demand) products and with many other advantages, digital printing is experiencing strong growth, generating new avenues because of the technology’s versatility, personalisation capability, and sustainability benefit. This significant prospect of digital printing is what we are endeavouring to tap into full potential with the new ImagePress V700.”
According to Rahman, the ImagePress V700 is redefining the overall value and proficiency of digital printing at New Printex India. “In addition to our new Canon press, we run other digital colour production systems of different brands in our production facility. However, this newly installed compact Canon press has its unique prowess to produce graphic prints in the finest textures which we have never ever catered before to our customers,” he said.
Boosting the overall print innovation and productivity at New Printex India, the ImagePress V700 is efficiently delivering graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2,400x2,400-dpi. It prints graphics in high textures on media ranging from 52- to 350-gsm comprising covers, envelopes, synthetics, and 1300mm-long sheets at the speed of 71 A4-ppm.
“Since its installation, we are producing around 11,000 sheets per month, which we will increase multifold soon utilising the press’ full potential,” Rahman said.
