MMS to host three-day conference in Sri Lanka with SLAP

The Mumbai Mudrak Sangh and Sri Lanka Association of Printers are set to host a conference in Colombo to explore industry advancements, recognise excellence, and foster international partnerships.

The Mumbai Mudrak Sangh (MMS) and the Sri Lanka Association of Printers (SLAP) will co-host a three-day conference from 10 to 12 July 2025 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This event aims to bring together industry leaders and experts to discuss current trends, share knowledge, and foster advancements within the printing sector.

The first day, 10 July, will commence with a keynote address, followed by a series of eight focused roundtable discussions. 

These sessions will delve into critical industry topics, including artificial intelligence (AI) in management information systems (MIS) and automation, featuring Himanshu Pandey of Avantika Printers and Parmeshwar Patidar of Indus Analytics. The conversation on digital embellishments will be led by Shailesh Sharma of Inndus Cards and Gifts, while the discussion on flexography in folding cartons will feature Gopi Ballarwad from iTek Packz.

Isha Deshpande of Trigon Digipack will head the table for digital labels and flexible packaging. Saifee Z Makasarwala from Silverpoint Press will discuss bespoke digital print. The subject of sustainability in print will be handled by Janaka Rathnakumara, a corporate business leader and sustainability consultant recognised for his work in circular economy, renewable energy, and environmental management.

A conversation on inkjet digital book print and publishing will be led by Vijay Jadhav of Repro India. Additionally, Jose Thomas from Future Schoolz and Dammikka Sriwardhana of Design Logics Sri Lanka will contribute as industry experts. 

Following these discussions, the experts from each table will participate in a panel discussion, providing a comprehensive synopsis of their respective sessions.

Day two will feature a series of technical presentations and an international conference. The night will conclude with the Hidden Gems Awards, designed to recognise significant contributions to the industry. 

The final day will offer delegates a unique opportunity to gain insights into the Sri Lankan printing landscape through a dedicated factory visit.
