Michelman at the fourth specialty films and flexible packaging conference
The fourth edition of Specialty Films and Flexible Packaging (SFFP) global conference, a two-day event will be held on 15 and 16 September, 2015 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. At the event, Michelman will be presenting a variety of its print receptive and coating technologies. Bill Magee, group director, Michelman’s printing and packaging division will present on ‘Breakthrough technology - water-based coatings, a sustainable alternative’.

Magee will discuss the possible health and safety hazards associated with using solvents, including the risk of solvent retention in food and pharmaceutical packaging. The company will also showcase solutions for label and packaging designers and printers; label, flexible packaging and folding carton converters; as well as brand owners.
At the exhibition, the company will showcase the water-based DigiPrime primers and DigiGuard overprint varnishes formulated specifically for printing labels and flexible packaging substrates on digital presses. Different grades are available for paper, film, plastic and metallic applications.
Along with the primers the firm will also showcase its Michem Flex P-series primers and the Flex HS-series heat seal coatings. The Flex P-series is applicable to dry, wet, and retort packaging and the functional coating additives which include Michem Emulsion and Michem Lube are used to increase the efficiency of form, fill and seal operations.
