Mark Andy showcases range of products at Labelexpo
There is more than one highlight on the Mark Andy booth at Labelexpo Europe 2025. For label converters, the company showcased its Digital Series HD HighSpeed 1200 – the fastest digital press in the world. With Labelexpo widening its appeal into new packaging sectors, the Mark Andy Performance Series S9 flexo line, with its sleeve technology, is aimed squarely at the flexible packaging sector.

According to Florian Stroe, European sales manager, Mark Andy, these developments are important for Indian converters as well because the package-printing industry is becoming more global by the day and brand owners expect the same standards of quality wherever their packaging is being produced. “If you stand still in today’s market, you go backwards. To compete with the best, you need the best technology to grow and sustain your business. At Mark Andy, our R&D for new technology is a direct reflection of changes in market demand. Our customers’ growth is our growth,” he said.
He added that Mark Andy technology is designed to be modular, which makes it very adaptable, customisable and perfect for retrospective upgrading as market demands change. This makes it as future-proof an investment as possible. “With regard to existing operations, much of Mark Andy tooling on its flexo presses is interchangeable with legacy machines,” he said.
According to Stroe, Mark Andy, with its unmatched legacy in narrow-web flexo, believes that a combination of flexo and either inkjet or toner digital technology is the perfect solution for meeting this shift in demand. The company offers a range of hybrid presses to suit all sectors of the market, including the possibility of retro-fitting digital capability to an existing flexo press.
He said, “There is interest across the board. Hybrid presses offer the best of digital and flexo in one line for single pass production so solve the dilemma for both digital and flexo label converters. The new S9 sleeve press, with its wider web widths, offers a clear alternative to CI flexo production of flexible packaging.
He added, “Nowadays, everything is possible as the technology is very advanced and Mark Andy is always developing and providing smart systems to be integrated with the workflow or equipment from the production floor.”
Talking about India, Stroe said the business is going very well supported by FIG, which has a strong and professional team. “Since Labelexpo 2023, we had multiple installations across India including two flexo machines ProSeries at Barcom Industries, few Evolution Series E5, Performance Series P7 and P9 at other customers,” he said.
