According to Prathamesh Vartak of Manroland, Grapho Metronic control systems are now available to be fitted on all kinds of web offset presses including all non-Manroland presses.

Vartak added, “The first Grapho Metronic control system on a non-Manroland press in India is under installation at Lokmat in Navi Mumbai. This shows the versatility of the equipment. We are working on more installations.”

The system will be mounted on the six Hi-Towers Orient (TPH) shaftless printing press and it will be equipped with 16 cameras.

The system will be a combination of smart camera and cross bar, LED flash, relatively unobtrusive dot targets, measurement accuracy of +/-0.1 mm and maximum paper velocity of 18 m/s.
