Manroland’s Ahmedabad show discusses print enhancement and cold foil technology

Manroland Sheetfed India hosted an open house in Ahmedabad on 24 April 2017, which was all about its presses capability to enhance print and cold foil technology.

In attendance were 40 delegates from the Ahmedabad commercial print and packaging fraternity, who listened to the panellists –Manroland’s Sascha Ehrenberg, incharge for Manroland Sheetfed sales in South Asia, Australia and New Zealand and Praveen Patel of Mumbai-based Hira Print. Manroland Sheetfed India’s managing director Neeraj Dargan and Kamal Vyas, who recently joined Manroland as its general manager, were also part of the panel.

Ehrenberg explained the nuances of the printed samples that were on display and the possibilities of enhancements of an ordinary print job. “If you use the right Manroland technology, it can be converted into an extra-ordinary piece of art,” he said. “If you want to be a leader and increase your profits, one should have such capability as part of its print power.”

During Drupa 2016, Manroland introduced the Evolution press and has reportedly soldvover 440 printing units worldwide. “The unique features of Evolution Press like inking unit reverse sweep, triple flow inking, inking unit splitting and the indexing facility of inline foiler make such enhancements possible,” said Ehrenberg. He added, “Manroland has bigger and more market share in inline foiler installations worldwide than entire competition put together.”

Hira Print, is Manroland Sheetfed’s key customer in India. The company had ordered the Roland 700 during Drupa 2012, which was subsequently installed and has been running successfully, said Patel of Hira Print. He explained the benefits of the press and said, “Over the period of time, the features of the press have helped us improve our productivity and become profitable.”
