The new Jetvarnish 3DS joins the battery of digital machines including Xerox iGen4, Ricoh Pro C9110, Xerox Versant 80, and Konica Minolta Bizhub 1052.

With the father-son duo of Ashok and Dhwanil Shah at the helm, Manifold is a 10-year-old digital printing company located in the print hub of Shah and Nahar industrial estate in Lower Parel.

Ashok Shah, director at Manifold, said, “This new investment has opened up a new vertical in digital printing. Earlier we had very little scope for value addition on the digitally printed output but the opportunities are on a rise thanks to Jetvarnish’s UV embossing and digital foiling. Mumbai being a commercial hub, there is a huge demand for jobs such as visiting cards, wedding cards, coffee table books, luxury packaging where the digital embellishment offerings from Jetvarnish helps print jobs stand out.”

Talking about the USP of the kit, Navdeep Singh Dadwal, business consultant for MGI at Konica Minolta, said, “The machine is equipped with Artificial Intelligence SmartScanner (AIS) that creates an automatic varnish and hot foil registration for inkjet heads over the preprinted sheet.”

Dhwanil Shah, director, Manifold, said, “The AI ensures complete registration of the artwork on to the substrate with maximum precision and minimum inputs from the operator.”

The Jetvarnish 3DS throughputs at a speed of 1400 sheets per hour and can perform the UV embossing with a thickness range from 21-micron to 116-micron in a single pass.

With the new investment, Shah anticipates a turnover increase of 25% and hopes to break even in the next two years.

MGI Jetvarnish at Manifold marks its fourteenth installation in India.

Also, Manifold Graphics will be taking a giant leap in its business in the coming month by launching an online portal – PustakSagar.com.
