Jawalapur, Uttarakhand-based Maa Gayatri Offset Printers has invested in a Haotian customised finishing solution from Packnology. The new machine has been installed at Maa Gayatri’s roll-form-focused facility, a distinct operation from its earlier unit, Hindustan Offset, which was established in 1997.
While Hindustan Offset specialised in sheetfed printing, folding cartons, brochures, and inserts, Maa Gayatri, launched in 2013–14, is dedicated to roll-to-roll production and houses state-of-the-art flexo and digital printing technologies. The setup includes presses from Mark Andy, Monotech, and Multitec, as well as four digital machines catering to short-run and highly variable jobs.
The recently installed Haotian finishing and print embellishment equipment was chosen after detailed research and input from industry expert Brijesh Puri, founder of Packnology. This system was developed as a custom-built, first-of-its-kind solution in India, combining lamination, spot UV, foiling, and varnishing — all in a single path, and tailored specifically for pharma, food and beverage and FMCG applications. The modular machine features a registered flexo unit, offering flexibility for various substrate types and finishes.
“We took a calculated risk by investing in this machine. It’s the first of its kind in India with this specific configuration, and we were confident in the team behind it,” Manas Bhatia said. “The finishing line enables us to offer multiple embellishments in one go, saving time, cost, and space — especially important for short-run, high-value jobs.”

Digital-first, Customer-centric philosophy
With a strong foothold in digital printing, which accounts for nearly 70% of their total volume, Maa Gayatri has built a reputation for quick turnarounds and high-quality sampling. The company prints up to 50,000 running meters daily, handling over 120–150 jobs per day with a turnaround commitment of under 24 hours, a benchmark in the region.
Bhatia said, “We serve many leading clients in automotive, pharma, electronics, and eCommerce, including brands like Hero, Mahindra, Havells, Flipkart, Tecumseh, and Lotus. Our strength lies in fast sampling, low lead times, and flexibility. We never charge plate costs — even for flexo, which has made us a preferred partner for startups and mid-size brands.”
The company’s equipment setup also includes digital die-cutting system, such as the PRDC 330S plotter, capable of handling small, intricate jobs with ease. As demand grows, the company is now running the plotter 24/7 in three shifts.
With the addition of the Haotian and PRDC, the company’s setup is 100% digital, including digital print, digital embellishment and digital cutting. With this, the turnaround time can be as short as four hours.
With an installed base worth over INR 25-crore, spread across 35,000-sqft of production space, Maa Gayatri is setting its sights on the future. Its roadmap includes expanding into short-run pouch making, shrink sleeve printing, and flexible packaging for Ayurveda and nutrition brands, addressing the growing demand for low MOQ, high-variation jobs.
“The market is changing. Startups want smaller quantities with faster turnaround and a premium finish. That’s where digital and custom finishing shine,” Bhatia said, adding, “We're not just offering labels; we're offering options. For every product, we now create seven–eight sample variations and present them to the client, giving them real flexibility and creative freedom.”
What truly differentiates Maa Gayatri is not just its technology, but its customer-first mindset, transparent pricing, and commitment to in-house control. “Everything is under one roof, which gives us speed, quality, and cost control. Our clients appreciate the consistency and service we offer,” Bhatia said.
Maa Gayatri Offset Printers is a sister concern of The Hindustan Offset Printers run by the Bhatia family — Pradeep Bhatia and his son Manas, along with Gulshan Bhatia and his son Sagar. Maa Gayatri’s print production plant is located in a lush green area in Ibrahimpur, near Jawalapur.
Brijesh Puri, founder, Packnology, said, “I am thankful to the Bhatia family for their belief in our products and technologies. We have supplied them two machines, a digital print embellishment machine and a digital die-cutting machine. Both are functioning well. The print embellishment machine from Haotian is a unique combination of flexo unit with two digital units with Kyocera and Xaar heads. This print embellishment product enables Maa Gayatri with an edge to offer extraordinary print production to their customers.”
