Based in Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district of Kerala, Laser Print Hub, a traditional offset printer, recently invested in a Canon ImagePress V800.
“Our background is by and large connected to offset printing. However, seeing and sensing the ongoing trends and progressions taking place on the digital printing front, we recently added an ImagePress V800, a versatile and capable digital colour production press,” Sunny, proprietor of Laser Print Hub, said.
He added, “Digital printing is gaining new grounds as a significant force in the industry, driven by the technology’s advancement in printing and production of personalised, on-demand, and short-run prints. This encouraged us to foray into the segment by embracing the new, compact and highly advanced ImagePress V800 digital colour production press. We have now rolled up our sleeves to exploit the press’ full capability.”
It has been just one month or so since the ImagePress V800 was installed at the production setup of Laser Print Hub, already equipped with a fleet of machines comprising offset presses, laser engravers, and a line of finishing equipment. “However, we are now handling all our digital printing tasks exclusively with the newly installed Canon.
The ImagePress V800 is capable of operating at an unprecedented speed of 81-ppm. It takes in the broadest range of media from 52- to 350-gsm, including covers, envelopes, synthetics, and long 1,300-mm sheets. Equipped with the R-VCSEL imaging technology, this Canon digital press delivers graphic prints in 2,400x2,400-dpi.
“Now that we have been empowered with the ImagePress V800 for digital printing, it’s our turn to explore the sector by delivering the finest short-run, POD, and bespoke graphics which our customers keep demanding,” Sunny concluded.
