The rebrand reflects the industry’s transformation, driven by technological convergence, market consolidation, and diversification. Label converters are increasingly integrating digital, hybrid, and in-line production technologies, fuelled by automation, cloud connectivity, and sustainability demands. The sector is also seeing a shift towards comprehensive one-stop operations, with many businesses expanding into flexible packaging and folding cartons.

Labelexpo, launched in 1980 as Labelex 80 in London with 44 exhibitors, has grown into a global platform, welcoming 125,755 visitors and occupying 140,919-sqm across its portfolio in the last two years. Data from Labelexpo Europe 2023 revealed that 40% of visitors expressed interest in flexible packaging, while 25% focused on folding cartons, underscoring the industry’s broadening scope.

The new Loupe brand, part of the Informa Group, aims to unite the full spectrum of package printing, fostering innovation and efficiency. “Loupe mirrors the industry’s spirit, uniting the full spectrum of package printing to inspire innovation, efficiency, and growth,” said Andy Thomas-Emans, strategic director of Labelexpo Global Series.

The rebrand will roll out across Labelexpo’s global events, aligning with the evolving needs of an industry shaped by entrepreneurial label converters diversifying into new formats and technologies.
