Konica Minolta empowering printers to provide personalised, just-in-time services

At Bharat Print Expo 2025, held on 24–26 April 2025 at BIEC in Bengaluru, Konica Minolta featured two of its key solutions: the AccurioPrint C4065 and the AccurioPrint 2100. These presses are designed to address the changing requirements of the commercial print market.

The AccurioPress C4065 differentiates itself by its small footprint, media versatility (processing media up to 360-gsm), and colour output at 66-ppm with high-definition colour, making it suitable for short-run, high-impact print jobs.

The AccurioPrint 2100 is a B&W workhorse, providing tough performance at 100-ppm with high-capacity paper input and base print controller, serving high-volume B&W production environments.

“In addition, we also showed examples of applications using our AccurioLabel 230 and AccurioShine 3600, which showcased Konica Minolta's capability in digital label printing and embellishment — both of which were very popular due to their accuracy and affordability,” Manish Gupta, head of product lifecycle management and planning, Konica Minolta Business Solutions, said.

He said the company’s participation in Bharat Print Expo was perfectly in line with its growth strategy in the region, particularly in South India — a region that has been exhibiting early adoption of digital technologies and automation in print consistently.

“Bengaluru itself has now become a hub for technology-driven SMBs, start-ups, and educational institutions, which are all primary consumers of digital print solutions. The expo gave us a strategic forum to connect with these businesses directly and reaffirm our commitment to localised service, support, and scalable solutions. We're also experiencing strong growth in tier-two and tier-three cities in the South, and activities like this assist us in extending our footprint while building relationships with print entrepreneurs across the spectrum," he said.

Talking about digital printing, Gupta said, We’re seeing a big shift toward hyper-customisation and short-run presswork in commercial print, led by the education, hospitality, consumer durables and healthcare industries. In packaging, calls for sustainable and digitally-printed folding cartons and flexible packaging are creating new opportunities, especially for converters seeking diversification. The label printing market is growing explosively with rising demand from FMCG, nutraceuticals, and e-commerce industries. With our AccurioLabel solutions, we are helping converters address demands for shorter lead times, variable data printing, and rapid job changeovers — all while ensuring consistency and cost-effectiveness. These areas are fertile ground for digital disruption, and Konica Minolta is well placed to help printers make the successful transition.”

He added that Konica Minolta has long been at the forefront of the shift to digital transformation in print.

“Our Accurio series of digital presses are built for scalability, automation, and short setup times—ideal for variable and short-run print work. Technology such as automated duplexes, media flexibility, and inline finishing make them incredibly efficient for businesses that experience fluctuating volumes of print. Also, our investment in workflow automation and intelligent software solutions guarantees quicker turnaround times and reduced operational expenses for our customers. Under the Accurio umbrella, we are also providing workflow applications to manage the devices and automating the steps in the printing process. By continuous innovation, we are empowering printers to provide personalised, just-in-time services without compromising profitability,” he said.

Sustainability is at the heart of Konica Minolta’s product design and service delivery. The AccurioPrint range showcased at Bharat Print Expo incorporates energy-efficient technology, such as low-temperature fusing systems and LED-based imaging. “Our Simitri V toner is one such differentiator — it has a lower fusing energy requirement, making it less detrimental to the environment. Our digital embellishment solution, AccurioShine 3600, also minimises the use of physical dies and plates, which helps save a lot of material waste. Additionally, our digital technology enables on-demand printing, eliminating waste from inventory and enabling greater resource efficiency on all fronts,” Gupta said.

He added that Bharat Print Expo 2025 was a turning point for the company, not just to demonstrate its technology but to hear and speak with our customers face-to-face. “We met with longstanding partners, many of whom are now exploring expansion and automation, and we were also pleased to meet a host of new-age print entrepreneurs. The platform provided rich dialogue around pain points, growth opportunities, and shifting customer expectations. For Konica Minolta, such expos are not just product showcases; they are collaborative spaces to build community and co-create the future of print,” he concluded.
