Komori to focus on offset and digital

Komori Corporation's CEO Yoshiharu Komori during his speech at BMPA's Print Summit one day conference, made it very clear that Komori's focus on future developments will be on a combined technology of offset and digital.

Komori was seen inching towards this dream, earlier on 1 November, 2013 when Landa Corporation's Benny Landa, the brain child behind Indigo and Komori announced their strategic partnership to build the nanography printing press. The companies initially had collaborated during the Drupa 2012 where Landa showcased his nanography printing concept.
 
This long term deal is expected to fructify at Drupa 2016.

Komori will be the global supplier of all sheetfed Landa nanographic printing press platforms to Landa while Landa will provide Komori with nanographic printing technology and Landa NanoInk® colorants for incorporation into Komori-branded nanographic printing presses.

The other development in this front which Komori highlighted during his speech at the Summit was of the Imperia 29 press, Komori Corporation's to be launched single pass UV  inkjet press, at IGAS 2015.“The idea is to establish a combined production system and a marketing method, which can digitally satisfy quality requirement of professional offset printers,” said Komori.

Komori has also invested in presses for packaging like the RP 40, GL 40, GLX 40, and the "to be launched GL 44", apart from the HUV. More products will be rolled out in the sphere of packaging.
