Purnendu Mohanty, managing director, GMC India, said, “Though Toppan Japan had gone for a huge investment with GMC last year this was another win for us as the internal recommendation was not in our favor at the early stages.”

Mohanty added, “It was a challenge for us as we had to face stiff competition from almost every software service provider."

This is supported by skilled engineers who have the capability of implementing the software or workflow in short span of time.”

After the proof of concept (POC), Toppan Forms finalised GMC Inspire V8.1. GMC with a substantial base of more than 18 customers in India in VDP segment has started focusing in SAARC region as their future growth area.

Mohanty said, “Toppan has gone for site license keeping in an increase of 30% volume year on year. They have been using Print Soft and Elixir for quite some time and faced many problems as their monthly volume had gone close to 15 million a month."

Mohanty added, “After POC, Toppan decided to invest in Inspire V8.1 on the basis of various parameters like application development time, handling inputs like AFP, PDF, PS, PCL, XM, GUI–ease of use, processing speed, ability to save time on multi-channel communication, integration with all digital machines and email gateway facility on GMC module with tracking capability.”

Toppan Forms has print facility of 50,000sq/ft area and houses Oce, Xerox, Miyakoshi digital presses along with host of sheetfed offset machines and finishing equipments.
