Father Joseph, general manager, Divine Printers, said, “We are surprised by the flurry of new activity and the sharp increase in walk-in-customers, since the Speedmaster SM 74 has been installed. This is a great start. That too, with no promotions from our side. At this clip, we will recover out investment well within few years".

The religious books and magazines printing company was established in 1995. The printing facility is printing subsidiary of the Divine Centre campus. It prints over five lakh copies of a devotional magazine titled Vachanostsavam and the holy Bible for distribution to devotees.

“The significant rise in the circulation of the magazine, as well as Bible distribution, provided us the impetus to opted for a brand new four-colour printing press,” he further added.

"To get a personal handle on the operations, we also visited some of the leading printers in Ernakulam, which are existing Heidelberg customers. We found the performance of the press to be impressive,” added Father Joseph.

Varying from thin paper to board, the SM-74 can process a wide range of printing substrates, ranging in thickness from 0.03 to 0.6 mm at speed of 15,000 sheets per hour. Automation components like autoplate reduce make-ready and setup times compared to other presses.

Divine has also invested in a Heidelberg Suprasetter A105 CTP. The equipment provides flexibility in throughput, format, and plate handling. It can process plates in 2,400dpi with a maximum format of 930X1060 mm.

On future plans, Joseph stated, "Now, we are a complete print solution provider from pre-press through post press. The next step is to promote our services to commercial customers and generate additional revenue."
