Diamond Agencies, based in Delhi NCR, has focused on book binding excellence for over two decades, working exclusively on school and college books. The company, led by Ankit Arya, recently installed the Bindwel BW2500 V24 to meet growing production needs.

The 25,000-sq.ft plant runs double shifts and houses seven presses: two four-colour, one five-colour, three double-colour and one single-colour, including a recently installed four-colour KBA (Komori) press. The company’s post-press operations play a central role in delivering book-binding excellence.

Arya said the company’s focus is on maintaining quality and delivering on schedule. Prior to acquiring the BW2500 V24, they used a Bindwel WB2000 model, but increasing demand and space constraints made it difficult to install a second machine. Arya noted that the decision to purchase from Bindwel was based on the long-standing relationship and the performance of their existing machines. He noted that the BW2500 V24 allowed them to increase output without requiring additional floor space. After-sales service was another factor in the choice.

The BW2500 V24 addresses common binding issues through three main functions. It includes a feature to secure the first and last pages in perfect-bound books without stitching, reducing the risk of loose pages. Glue usage is managed through adjustable layer settings, which help to control adhesive application and reduce costs, especially for thick books. The machine also has an integrated silicon spray system, removing the need for manual cleaning and preventing books from sticking together.

Partnership with Bindwel
Diamond Agencies has used Bindwel equipment since its binding operations began, moving from a single-clamp model to six-clamp, the WB2000, and now the BW2500 V24. Arya said technical support is consistent and responsive, contributing to uninterrupted production. Arya said the BW2500 V24 is well suited for book production and would consider additional units if space allowed.
