Sustainability-driven packaging solutions took centre stage at the Paperworld 2026 expo, where Craft Packaging showcased an extensive portfolio of paper-based packaging, in-store displays and eco-decor applications.
Craft Packaging’s stall drew attention for its near-total elimination of non-paper materials. From mono cartons and corrugated cartons to floor-standing and countertop displays, every element on display was produced using paper or paperboard. Even the stall infrastructure — including tables, wall panels and decorative installations — was constructed from cardboard and honeycomb boards, reinforcing the company’s focus on sustainable design and material innovation.
The packaging solutions on display were broadly categorised into protective, shelf-ready, branding and promotional applications. Protective packaging solutions demonstrated how paper-based internal fitments can securely house fragile products such as glass jars for e-commerce shipments, ensuring durability under harsh handling and transit conditions.
Shelf-ready packaging emerged as a key highlight, reflecting evolving global retail requirements. Designed to comply with the norms of large-format international retailers such as Walmart and Target, these formats function as both shipping cartons and in-store trays. Once the tear-away section is removed, products become instantly shelf-ready, reducing handling time and improving operational efficiency for retailers.
Craft Packaging also showcased a range of branded and promotional packaging solutions aimed at influencer kits, premium product launches and corporate gifting. These included customised boxes featuring high-quality printing, internal fitments and messaging designed to deliver a strong unboxing experience while remaining more cost-effective than rigid box formats.
Eco-decor installations formed another major draw at the stall. A large tree structure, along with signage and wall elements made entirely from paper and honeycomb board, demonstrated the potential of paper in replacing conventional POP, vinyl and flex materials. According to the company, such applications align with a broader shift — particularly in Western markets — towards recyclable, paper-based display solutions supported by digital and direct printing technologies.
Craft Packaging noted growing interest from FMCG, beauty and beverage brands seeking premium yet sustainable packaging and display options. The company reported strong enquiries at the show, signalling sustained momentum for paper-based packaging and display solutions in the Indian market.
