CPMA organises global conference on speciality films and flexible packaging

Chemicals and Petrochemicals Manufacturers' Association (CPMA) and Elite Plus Business Services (EPBS) have organised a conference titled as Speciality Films and Flexible Packaging Global Conference 2012 on 11 September (Tuesday) at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

Nidhi Verma of Elite Plus Business Services said, “India, which is a large consumer of flexible packaging and speciality films for food and non-food applications, has recorded a sustained growth of more than 15% in speciality films sector.”

“The conference, directed at various segments of the packaging industry such as FMCG, film manufacturers, raw material manufacturers, flexible film converters, printers etc., would address the market opportunities and industry trends,” she added.

The keynote would be delivered by Chitranjan Dar, divisional chief executive of food division – ITC and Ulrich Reifenhauser, managing director- Reifenhauser. The distinguished speakers at the conference include Roger Kant of Dupont; A Venkatrangan of Paper Products (PPL); Gustavo Guzzi of Waterline, Switzerland; Karan Sehgal of Euromonitor to name a few.

The conference will highlight developments in packaging materials; multilayer films; lamination and coatings; sustainable packaging and touch upon the global and Indian scenario of flexible packaging markets.

In addition, Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to eminent industry leaders for their contribution to speciality films and flexible packaging industry.

The one-day conference is supported by Indian Plastics Institute and All India Plastics Manufacturers Association. “Over 300 delegates are expected to attend the conference,” concluded Verma.
