COPL gets DGM Technocut 1050 S to increase productivity

Udaipur-based COPL Print O Pack recently invested in a Technocut 1050 S die-cutter from DGM.

COPL Print O Pack provides multiple services, including cosmetic and personal care packaging, medical and pharmacy packaging, food service packaging, eCommerce packaging, food and beverage packaging, luxury packaging, corrugated and box products, retail packaging and digital services, among others.

The DGM Technocut 1050 S with waste removal can work up to 7,500 sheets per hour. It is used to die cut and strip all sorts of duplex boards and FBB, ranging between 80 and 2,000 gsm and three-ply corrugated up to B-flute (4-mm thickness). The largest sheet size it can operate on is 1,050x740-mm.

Currently, COPL Print O Pack has two die-cutters that operate 24x7. Post the installation of the DGM die-cutter, COPL has been able to produce almost 80,000 sheets within 24 hours. The minimum order quantity for short-run jobs is 5,000 sheets.

Hansraj Choudhary, chairman, COPL Print O Pack, said, “The new equipment has greatly improved accuracy, especially on intricate designs. We are also able to perform inline quality inspections and post-process checks. Our staff too has undergone training to use the new DGM machines.”

This decision was made during PrintPack 2025. Choudhary added that he was impressed with the idea of DGM preparing three-ply sheets in the booth by its SmartFlute carton laminator and die-cut the same sheets on its Technocut 1050S automatic die-cutter, running full speed 7,500 with waste removal and processing the same six-corner three-ply E-flute carton on its TechnoFold 1100SL automatic folder-gluer at a speed of 28,000-cartons/hr.
