Bengaluru-based Concord Business Center has recently invested in a Canon ImagePress V700 digital colour production press, supplied and installed by Canon India.
Engaging in commercial digital printing, digital large-format eco-solvent printing, AutoCAD printing, and others like pre-press and post-press tasks encompassing graphic designing, lamination, binding, etc, Concord Business Centre has been in the business for over the last 30 years, spearheaded by two brothers, HA Manohar and HA Yadunadan. On the digital printing front, what it takes to produce digitally-printed quality graphics at the company’s facility is a fleet of digital production presses, predominantly Canon models.
“Canon has been our most trusted and tested brand. We have been primarily using Canon digital presses alongside others in our facility,” said Manohar, proprietor of Concord Business Center. He added, “The first and foremost Canon machine installed in our facility was a CLC-1180 multi-function printer in 1995, followed by new and upgraded models one after another. So far, we have owned six Canon presses, and the ImagePress V700 is the latest one to arrive in our facility in February this year.”
According to Manohar, the decision to install the iPR V700 was driven by its experience of Canon’s known prowess to deliver superior print quality at a faster speed than other machines in its class. “Prior to this sixth Canon digital press in our facility, we even thought of choosing a different press from another reputed brand. We dropped the plan because no other machines would be comparable to Canon in many aspects and parameters,” he said.
Signifying incredible speed and efficiency, iPR V700 is capable of delivering 70 A4ppm in the resolution of 2400x2400-dpi. Media versatility of the press is commendable as it takes in the widest range of thin and thick media, starting from 52- up to 350-gsm, which consists of covers, envelopes, synthetics, and long sheets of length up to 1,300-mm.
Manohar asserted that the speed and media flexibility of iPR V700 eventually ticked all the boxes of requirements at Concord Business Center to produce a vast range of end-products. The company’s current product portfolio in the ‘commercial’ category includes visiting cards, brochures, menu cards, calendars, stickers, invitations, and certificates, among many others.
