Color Digital Press upgrades with Canon

The company has set its mission to lead both creativity and productivity with the new digital press from Canon India

Kannur, Kerala-based Color Digital Press has added a Canon ImagePress V800, a versatile digital colour production press with highly advanced features and core technologies. 

Established in 2012, Color Digital Press has been serving a host of customers from diverse industrial sectors and businesses, as well as individuals from different walks of life in Kannur city and beyond. 

Sampath Thavara, proprietor of Color Digital Press, said, “The Prospect of digital printing is increasing with newer aspects in short-run production and print-on-demand services.”

Backed by a team of seven skilled and experienced printing and production staff, Color Digital Press has a well-equipped production facility. Currently running in the facility is an array of digital presses and a string of post-press equipment. “Our recent addition of the ImagePress V800 to the group of digital presses in our facility is strategic as we aim to take our digital printing to another level of quality and productivity,” Thavara said.

He added, “As long as the proficiency of ImagePress V800 is concerned, overall advancement and features of this compact digital colour production press are so closely aligned with what we require to make our digitally-printed graphics distinguished.” 

Designed with a compact footprint, ImagePressV800 is a machine of outsized performance. Capable of performing at the speed of 81-ppm, this Canon digital production press boasts of its media compatibility to print on diverse stocks ranging from 52 up to 350-gsm, delivering high-textured graphics in the industry’s leading resolution of 2,400x2,400-dpi. Media compatible with the press include covers, envelopes, synthetics, and 1300-mm long sheets.

“We installed this ImagePress V800 in December last year. It’s a matter of just a few months since we started running the press, so printing just 45,000 sheets on it every month,” Thavara said.
