Canon India launches upgraded ImagePress V1000 at Print Expo

With the new Vacuum-feed system, the upgraded iPR V1000 offers significant printing efficiency with stable paper feeding of thick and coated papers for commercial printing operations. The new feeding system helps in uninterrupted print runs during long print jobs and supports up to 10,000 sheets feeding with banner printing support. 

The new New Vacuum Paper Feeding Deck have three standard paper trays with 5000 sheets capacity and is designed to elevate and expand paper handling capabilities and operate efficiently without any manual intervention during the printing process. It delivers greater productivity with high-quality printing performance, making it a perfect visionary print partner for business growth. This new paper feeding solution is designed to meet the demands of high-volume environments with uninterrupted print runs and supports a fully automated process for up to 10,000 sheets when 2 POD Deck-F1 are connected in tandem. The New Vacuum Paper Feeding Deck will also be compatible on current ImagePress V900/V800/V700 Series colour production printers. The vacuum-feed system technology ensures the stable feeding of the papers and increases productivity across a range of printing applications.

How the New Vacuum Paper Feeding Deck works

The New Vacuum Feeding Deck employs three unique airflows units which continuously flow air from side, front and top of the paper to ensure that paper sheets are separated properly and feed into the printing unit. Initially, side assist air unit lifts one sheet by blowing air as per defined media characteristics. Once, the sheet is lifted, side assist air stops and the front separation air starts to blow air ensuring the second sheet and other subsequent sheets do not get lifted. In final attempt, two side suction air pulls the sheet and sends it to the print engine seamlessly.  These three airflows ensure clear separation of top sheet resulting in stable feeding of paper sheets, especially of high 350/400-gsm thicker media and sticker stocks. This unit is also equipped with multi feed detection sensor and an escape (purge) tray. In case of multi feeding if any, sensor detects multiple sheets and sends multiple picked sheets to escape tray without interrupting printer operations.
