Canon creating a future-ready workforce for digital print

This initiative aims to bridge the growing tech-skills gap and address the "huge" skills shortage anticipated within the next five years in the graphics art industry.

In a significant leap forward for India's digital printing industry, Future Schoolz and Canon India have jointly launched the Certified Digital Print Specialist programme, the nation's first-ever national certification for digital printing professionals. 
 
The programme is meticulously designed to elevate the expertise of operators and supervisors through a comprehensive curriculum that combines structured online learning with rigorous assessments and hands-on training. Beyond mere certification, it offers a clear pathway to global recognition, enhanced employability, and professional pride.
 
Pradeep Kulakkada of Future Schoolz expressed immense pride in the partnership, stating, "We are incredibly proud to partner with Canon India to launch the Certified Digital Print Specialist programme." He added, "This is more than just a collaboration; it's a shared commitment to building the future of India's digital printing industry."
 
A Canon spokesperson emphasised the company's commitment. The 45-day theory course will be hosted online by Future Schoolz, while the practical training will take place at Canon's state-of-the-art centre in Noida. Canon urges all professionals in the digital printing industry to seize this invaluable opportunity.
 
Prof Anayath VC, who was present at the inauguration, hailed the initiative as an "excellent step forward for the Indian print industry."
