Bluefox Print Shop expands Canon portfolio
The newly added digital press is the sixth Canon system at the company

Kochi-based Bluefox Print Shop has fortified its portfolio of Canon digital production presses with the addition of a new ImagePress V800. This newly added digital press is the sixth Canon system at Bluefox.
Since its inception in 2007, Bluefox has kept on expanding on all fronts. In addition to commercial printing, another printing unit of the print shop is engaging in comprehensive digital large-format printing for the production of signage and display graphics on cloth vinyl, flex, etc, accompanied by other tasks like crafting of personalised and promotional items using laser engraving technology. This is how Bluefox offers complete print solutions.
Ananadanarayanan G, proprietor of Bluefox Print Shop, said, “We concurrently run both the commercial printing and signage printing and making verticals with equal strengths of manpower and machines. Both units are handled by two different teams of around 15 skilled and experienced professionals each.”
He added, “About our machines, we strategically install only the latest, upgraded, and versatile models in both units.”
He continued, “In the commercial printing unit, Canon digital presses play pivotal roles in maintaining quality, consistency, and productivity. With our long-standing trust and tested conviction with the brand Canon, we thus opted for the new ImagePress V800 with which our current Canon portfolio is of six machines, as the remaining five are: colorWAVE T-Series, PlotWave 7500, imageRUNNER 5000 Series, imageRUNNER 6000 Series, and PIXMA G2000.”
According to Ananadanarayanan, the newly added ImagePress V800 is a capable digital colour production system. “We chose this digital press for its media versatility, print quality, and overall productivity. Graphic textures which we produce on this new member in our Canon family stand out amid others,” he said, adding, “It’s indeed a machine engineered with advanced features to produce sharp prints.”
Compact and capable for oversized print production, ImagePress V800 runs at the speed of 81-ppm on a range of media starting from 52 up to 350-gsm that includes covers, envelopes, synthetics, and long 1300-mm sheets in the resolution of 2,400x2,400-dpi. Currently, this machine plays a key role in Bluefox’s engagement in printing and production of end products like business cards, danglers, leaflets, table flags, fliers, brochures, among many others.
