Printers are grappling with issues such as poor handling, weaker book spines, and unpredictable results due to suppliers altering compositions to reduce costs. P Sajith, the managing director of Bindwel, emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating, “The reality is, fillers in both paper and adhesives are becoming a nightmare. Our customers need clarity, not confusion. That’s exactly what this open house is about.”

The Monsoon Open House will feature a range of key highlights designed to offer practical insights and solutions. This includes live demonstrations in which attendees will witness Bindwel’s cutting-edge machines in action, including the BW@2500 V24 and innovations such as the Insta BOD, Ultra PUR, and SigLoch XE-Cut Pro. In addition a fully lined up Bindline with automatic settings and signature recognition system, will also be on the floor.

Also visitors will have a unique opportunity to interact with the manufacturing team, explore mechanical assemblies, and gain an understanding of the precision involved in every Bindwel machine. There will be a unique gallery which will showcase bookbinding failures, each accompanied by an in-depth explanation of the root cause, whether it's fiber cracking, improper adhesive curing, or grain misalignment.

Above all, Bindwel will collaborate with Henkel, and delve into how advancements in chemistry can effectively resolve durability issues in modern bookbinding.

As Sajith said, "With India remaining the world’s largest consumer of printed books across multiple languages, the demands on printers for short runs, quick turnarounds, and durable finishes are at an all-time high." Bindwel’s open house directly addresses these demands with solutions built for agility, efficiency, and lasting quality.

For this the BindRight program will be unveiled, which aims to provide access to quality-driven binding process audits. The program underscores Bindwel’s commitment to practical, real-world solutions for the evolving challenges in the Indian bookbinding industry.
