Bindwel Technologies has announced its sponsorship of the PrintWeek Awards 2025, reinforcing its commitment to driving innovation in India's printing and binding sector. The partnership comes as India solidifies its position as a global publishing hub, with domestic book production growing at 12% annually.
"Through our 25-year journey, we've seen Indian printers transform from job workers to global exporters," said P Sajith, managing director of Bindwel. "Our partnership with PrintWeek celebrates this evolution by recognising the craftsmanship behind every award-winning book."
The company will support PWA 2025 categories that inspire printers to aim higher, and recognise the craftsmanship that defines modern Indian book production. “Bindwel made India the fifth country to adopt true books-on-demand technology. Our award-winning Insta BOD Binder produces up to 1,000 unique books per hour,” said Sajith. Solutions like Freedom 2K and Trimit SRT are powering short-run, inkjet ecosystems with efficiency and zero waste. “We're also training this segment to deliver premium-quality books at scale.”
Sajith emphasised Bindwel's environmental commitments. "Our machines consume 30% less energy than conventional systems while delivering superior output. Through our Henkel partnership, we've eliminated 5,000 tonnes of plastic waste annually by promoting cool-melt adhesives."
The company's latest BSRS system ensures zero-defect binding for premium publications, while its any-shape cutters allow innovative designs without material waste. "Seven of every ten books printed in India use Bindwel technology," noted Sajith. "With our BindRight knowledge program, we're preparing Indian printers to dominate the USD 28-billion global book export market."
