30-member jury to meet for PrintWeek Jury Week

Since the 2023 edition, the Jury activities are spread across four days to give a jury-panel of ten members more time to evaluate the samples received for the Awards and discuss the tech-specs and innovations as well as specialisations in greater detail. In addition, the financial performance and green of the Awards will be evaluated by the Auditors.

For the Quality Awards, all the print/packaging sample will be coded, and the tech-recipe of each and every company will be kept a closed-door. The Jury will review thousand samples, dialogue with fellow jurists who are experts and specialists in their fields, and then make final selections.

The Awards recognise the very best of printing, whether it’s innovation, quality, or out-of-the-box approach or sustainability to the medium, in 32 categories across Performance, Quality, and Special Industry Awards. There are 10 Performance Awards, 19 Quality Awards and tthree Special Industry Awards.

This year, Awards have received more than 325 entries in different categories from more than 100 print firms and packaging and label converters, amounting to more than 1,200 individual samples.

This year has been one of the best in the Awards’ history in terms of industry participation, especially in the post-Covid era. This indicates the upbeat mood of the industry. "Despite the headwinds, whether economic and political, the print and packaging industry in India is doing exceedingly well, not just in terms of volume and growth, but also in terms of innovation," Ashish Bhushan, country head in India for Haymarket Media said. "The industry is ready to showcase its prowess and there is no better platform to do this than the PrintWeek Awards."

Jury Meet schedule

On 9 September, the Jury team will review the samples in seven categories — Book Printer of the Year (Education); Book Printer of the Year (Specialty and Trade); Book Printer of the Year (Print on Demand - POD); Brochure and Catalogue Printer of the Year; Innovative Printer of the Year (paper/paperboard / corrugated); Newspaper Printer of the Year and PrintWeek Printer of the Year for Self-Promotional Merchandise Award.

On 10 September, samples in seven quality categories will be judged. These include Digital Printer of the Year; Digital Photo Album Printer of the Year; Fine Art Printer of the Year; Innovative Printer of the Year (PET, LDPE, HDPE, PVC, PP, PS, metal/glass); Packaging Converter of the Year (Paper Bag); POS / POP Printer of the Year and Pre-Media Company of the Year.

Five quality categories will be reviewed on 11 September. These are Label Printer of the Year; Packaging Converter of the Year (F&B); Packaging Converter of the Year (FMCG); Packaging Converter of the Year (Pharma); and Packaging Converter of the Year (Rigid Box).

The PrintWeek Awards 2025 have received wholehearted support from the industry.

Following the Jury Week, a shortlist for individual categories will be published in the October issue of PrintWeek.

The 2025 edition of the annual PrintWeek Awards will be held on 13 October. Before the industry’s most coveted Awards, organised by PrintWeek and WhatPackaging? magazines are handed out, a team of esteemed Jury members, comprising more than 40 industry leaders, will scrutinise each and every sample submitted for the Awards.
