26 CEOs confirm presence for Ahmedabad roundtable

The PrintWeek India three-city digital roundtable, in partnership with Ricoh and Heidelberg will start off with Ahmedabad today (22 January) at Nami Residency.

26 print CEOs representing 20 companies have confirmed their presence for the roundtable, which will discuss the current status and the opportunities that are in store with digital printing in the industry.

According to Noel D'Cunha, managing editor, PrintWeek India, eight years down the line after digital printing's debut in the commercial printing space, an Indian offset printer continues to have the digital dilemna. "Drupa 2008 got the moniker of ‘Digital Drupa’, rightly so, as it marked the debut for digital printing into the mainstream commercial printing space. Though this is true in a larger sense, an Indian offset printer still finds this question a tricky one: To go digital or not to go digital? With the roundtable sessions, the idea is to find the why; explore what is on their mind; and bust the myths (and prejudice) surrounding this vexed subject of digital printing."

Moderated by D'Cunha, the roundtable will include CEOs of offset print firms who are yet to invest in a digital printing machine. Joining them will be digital players with offset background.
