The two-day event saw more than 900 print industry stakeholders; a mix of influential marketers, digital innovators, creative leads and print specialists from across Asia Pacific and Japan in attendance
The Dscoop event offers education and networking opportunities for Indigo users, including business owners, sales teams, technical and operational experts, as well as label and packaging specialists
During his inaugural speech, Richard Bailey, president, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP Inc, highlighted the theme and purpose of the event - of how innovation and creativity can transform the user experience
The curator’s circle session saw leading industry players like Johnson & Johnson, Mondelez, Proctor and Gamble, GlaxoSmithKline and GoodStuph
The keynote session saw movers and shakers of the fashion, photo, concierge and delivery service industries presenting success stories achieved by disruptive innovation
The event on day one was curated to help elevate brand owners and marketing professionals to new heights by discovering creative ways to bring their inspirations and innovation to life
During the press meet Jeff de Kleijn, head of the large format production and industrial, HP Inc, shared the benefits of HP Latex ink and the environmental and health advantages
Kleijn: "Apart from offering environmental and health advantages, versatility, HP Latex has enabled our customers to pioneer into new high-profit applications such as interior decoration"
Roy Eitan, director and general manager, HP Indigo and Inkjet Digital Press Solutions, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP Inc, shared the latest trends incorporating digital printing with augmented reality
Alon Bar-Shany vice president and general manager, Indigo Digital Press Division, HP Inc, announced an official collaboration agreement with YiFuTu.com, an industry leading graphic design and printing services platform in China
“We plan to replicate such business model across Asia. The plan is to create a network of HP Indigo’s user plus educate end customer about the various possibilities with digital print technology,” informs Bar-Shany
This is part of HP’s strategic development effort in building working relationship with innovative e-commerce leaders to drive creativity and customer growth around the world
Creative and print specialists showcased their capabilities by coming up with innovative campaign concepts and products at the event
The day two of the event was held at the HP Center of Excellence (COE). Here the attendees got the opportunity to “touch and feel” the innovations discussed on day one
Michael Boyle, vice president, Graphics Solutions Business, Asia Pacific and Japan, HP Inc, shared how digital printing is celebrated through innovations that have transformed the way brands connect with consumers, in powerful and surprising ways
The COE is an HP boutique in the true sense. It houses the entire range of Indigo series among other machines along with its applications by HP
The highlight at the HP facility is a peek into the new generation of inks for the HP Indigo 10000, 20000 and 30000 digital presses. Here Eitan demonstrating the applications of HP 20000

Eitan: With HP’s Mosaic software one can design unique and variable designs for every pack. So each design is unique

The photo album room at the COE demonstrates the various applications which included a combination of good quality colour results, use of unusual substrates, and fabrication of the album including the innovative cover. Majority of the samples was from print service providers in India

The pink room at the COE housed products printed with special HP Indigo ElectroInk Fluorescent Pink, which glows in the dark under UV light. Many such inks are still under development, which HP hopes to roll out in 2017
