Robert Stabler, senior vice president and general manager, global graphic communications business group at Xerox, said, “Xerox is disrupting inkjet. We have two new platforms and a wide range of products designed to make inkjet more accessible and affordable for print providers.”

In Hall 8B/ stall A62, the company had also demonstrated new ink and packaging capabilities which include Xerox high fusion ink, a toner for the fifth station of the Xerox iGen 5 press, Xerox direct to object inkjet printer and a laser-diode coding and marking solution.

The Brenva HD press will be offering opportunities for inkjet into the transactional, light direct mail and book markets by combining the cost of inkjet with the cut-sheet platform. With the Trivor 2400, companies can provide a number of applications like catalogues, magazines and colour books.

At Drupa, executives from both Xerox and KBA sheetfed solutions, shared details on the partnership to develop a first-of-its-kind 40-inch, B1 digital sheetfed press for the folding carton market.

According to the InfoTrends, global production of colour inkjet print volume is expected to grow 23 percent through 2019.
