Nilesh Todi, managing director, Canpac Trends, said, “Being an existing user, K&B was a natural choice. We ordered two printing presses at the same time because one machine will be dedicated to specialised UV jobs and the other for regular multi-colour printed jobs. Both the presses will be delivered by October and November this year. We are planning to start the printing production in January 2022.”

The machines will be installed at Canpac’s new plant in Kolkata. Various die-cutter, Bobst and DGM folder-gluers and several others machine are also a part of the new plant.

Canpac’s existing Ahmedabad-based plant offers one-stop solution to its customers with a range of mono-, micro-flute carton, liner carton, flexible packaging solutions, paper bags and rigid boxes whereas the Tirupur Plant is equipped for mono cartons and shipper boxes.
Now, the company is setting up a new print production plant in Kolkata to serve the customers from the eastern part of the country fast and more efficiently. Right now, Canpac services some of their customers in the eastern part of the country from its Ahmedabad plant. It is also looking for new prospects. With this, the company will have presence in west, south and east.
This expansion and investment will help Canpac reach its goal of being a Rs 500-crore company in the next three years. In the future, the company will explore digital printing technology, and other printing vertices.
