PSPL doubles-down on Centre's print ban
Calling the government's ban on printed diaries, greeting cards, coffee table books, and calendars as "short-sighted", the managing director of PSPL Advertising Rahul Jain has opposed the decision, which was notified to all government agencies on 2 September 2020.

Jain told PrintWeek that the government must first get rid of all registers, forms, text books, notebooks, NCERT and education boards, libraries, and budget printing rituals in order to uphold its digitisation goal.
"The civilisation thus far has preserved itself with every possible mean – inscriptions, engravings and printing. Digital is a new addition, but not the final frontier. All forms are important in themselves and need to be supported and preserved," he cautioned, calling for reversal of the government order.
"If the same yardstick is used, all musical instruments should be scrapped as a keyboard is able to produce most sounds. Will the government do it?" he added. "It needs to be opposed vehemently, not only for the industry needs but also for the wants of humanity."
