PrintPack 2022: Toyo launches UV flexo process inks, coatings
Toyo Ink has launched a new series of UV flexo process inks and coating, which the company said, offers the benefits of high adhesion at high-speed printing. The highlight of the Toyo stand at PrintPack is the showcase of the Instaflex series and coatings. These are the first products to be designed by Toyo Ink India for the Indian label industry.

This series is manufactured at Toyo’s Greater Noida plant.
According to KS Murthy, deputy managing director at Toyo, the cost of the inks and coatings amounts to 2% to 3% of the label cost. However, the labels, which use inks, play a pivotal role in promoting the brand image of the end product.
“Labels need to promote the brand, notify customers of health and protection information on the product, and leave the product looking just as superior at scraping as it did when the product was first purchased,” he said.
For achieving high-quality labels, there is a need to have high pigmentation inks, runnability at high speeds and coatings to increase the production outputs.
“Taking all these into consideration Toyo Ink India has launched the Instaflex ink series and coatings for the Indian label industry,” said Murthy. “The Instaflex series has high strength and offers optimal performance at all stages of the label and varied kinds of substrates while meeting the stringent requirements of the compliance. Switching to the new ink series will improve functionality properties like high adhesion, quick makeready, vibrant colours on various substrates.”
