Jagdeep Sing of TPH said, “Web offset presses with more automation are in demand. Amar Ujala has already bought the press which we are going to display at PrintPack 2017.”

TPH was established by KD Kohli in 1948. Presently TPH enjoys more than 8,000 installations in India and more than 800 installations globally. “We have exported our presses in more than 50 countries across the globe, including Latin America, Asian countries, CIS countries, the US, Africa and European countries. We have sold around 800 4-Hi towers in China. It is a big achievement for us as China is the export hub globally,” said Singh.

TPH has been participating at PrintPack India since its inception. In this edition, TPH has a 215 sq/m area. “Exhibitions are the best opportunities to meet your customers and new prospects under one roof. Trade fairs are also a place to understand your customers’ requirement better. You can also showcase your strength at the show,” Singh added.

“We have a ratio of 80:20 in our newspaper and books customers. We cater 60% of newspapers and 70% of book printing market. We are one of the few web offset printing press manufacturers who do not sell its machines through dealers to serve our customers better,” said Singh.

TPH has 11 branch offices in India and a staff of 550 people with a capacity to produce around 800 equivalent towers annually.

Singh said the TPH machines are robust and an average life is more than 30 years. “Wastage on our press is less than 1%,” he added.

TPH has sold 720 equivalent towers in 2016. “This year, we have done 30% more business as compared with our best business year ever. Our production facility is fully booked for first quarter of next financial year too,” said Singh.
