Satyavarapu Gopala Krishna, managing director, Printonica, likes the digital spot-UV coating, hot-foiling for 2D/3D effects of the machine. Also, the machine produces wonderful emboss and foil effects in digital print output. Its effects make print products attractive and eye-catching,” he said, adding, “the machine is perfect for creating unique photobook products and for bringing newness to photobooks and commercial print products.”

Krishna said as the machine offers 100% digital solution, it has simplified the spot-UV process. “With the combination of emboss and foil, the machine offers quality emboss output with perfect sharpness.  It has helped us offer value-added services to our customers, thus increasing customer satisfaction for us,” he said.

The winner of the PrintWeek India Digital Photo Album Printer of the Year Awards in 2014 and 2015, the 22-year-old company is known for quality.

Krishna said though he looked at other machine before investing, he decided to go for the Jetvarnish because of its good production speed; perfect registration; combination of emboss effect and foil; limited wastage; print inline correction; facility to select degree of embossing according to design requirement; and clean technology.

“These features have helped us significantly in print production. In photobook, a variety of products can be produced with combination of emboss and foil. Plus, the visual impact of spot-UV coating enhances beautification, as wide range of substrates can be used,” he said.

Manish Gupta, national marketing manager, PP & IP, Konica Minolta Business Solutions India, said, “MGI is a wonderful machine to own in order to produce unique print products and give value-added services. The newness of a product can be experienced with the combination of emboss and foil effects with accurate registration in products like photobooks, invitation cards, business cards, catalogues and other commercial print products, creating the ‘wow’ effect.”
