Christopher - Kongsberg X24 has helped us add volumes and improve revenues

Mumbai-based signage specialist Nancy Graphics has invested in an Esko Kongsberg X24 cutting table driven by Esko ArtiosCAD software, which its owner J Christopher said, will “add signage branding solutions and value for its customers”.

Christopher added, “With margins in the regular signage and branding segment under pressure due to severe competition, we decided to go for the Esko Kongsberg X24 cutting table. This solution helped us in handling the widest range of material from corrugated, duplex and Kappa boards to rigid material like ACP, MDF and acrylic. We now offer a lot of value-added branding solutions for signage to our customers apart from our regular signage and branding products.”

The Kongsberg X24 sign starter (1680 mm x 3200 mm) is the latest model with the i-cut production console 2.0 intuitive icon-based user interface console. The machine is capable of cutting and creasing a range of substrates with capabilities like V grooving on Kappa, sun board and ACP, and a diamond polishing texture on acrylics.

According to Christopher, his company had to approach third parties to get its prototype work done, which is now produced in-house. “We have brought a new industrial strength solution in-house and the whole process is under our control. We have produced a great variety of prototypes and products including large cartons, puzzles, acrylic table calendars and sunpack bags. This has resulted in added volumes and improved revenues,” explained Christopher.

Considering the requirement, Christopher had plans to investing in a cheaper cutting table option but decided to opt for the Kongsberg X24 for the many useful features it comes with. “It offers high precision cutting, minimal set-up time for material changes, machine tooling can be pre-configured according to the materials available or likely to be used, and is operator-friendly. Also, machines like this are meant to last.”
