The digital press is offered as a standalone and can also be offered in combination with flexo.

“With the evolving retail selling patterns and consumables becoming more affordable, the digital label printing technology is being more relevant,” said Jimit Mittal, vice-president, inkjet products and solutions, Monotech.

The Jetsci Colour Aqua prints at the resolutions of 1,600-dpi up at a speed of up to 45-m/min.

Mittal claimed that the CMYK inks delivers high-quality prints, while the Duraflex printhead delivers durable print through water fastness, light fastness and rub resistance that is better than those available in the market. “There are greater substrate usages for applications in label, corrugation or films,” he added.

The Jetsci Colour Aqua is perfectly placed for the label industry which is a bit conservative when it comes to investing in digital printing equipment, said Mittal. “One the high cost of consumables and the end price to consumer, including margins, is not being accepted. This kit is a low-cost, entry-level option.”

Monotech has been integrating various inkjet printheads in its digital print equipment and claimed, it has over 250 installations in 18 countries globally.
