Acme is the first indigenous company to manufacture ceramic anilox rolls and sleeves in India. Established in 2018, the company has started commercial production in March 2019.  Thus, Parag Koradia, director, Acme Rolltech, said, the company used the Labelexpo Europe 2019 platform to launch is anilox rolls and sleeves in international label markets.

“We showcased made in India ceramic anilox roll and sleeve for label printing. For new-age printing presses, we have developed customised cell structure for high deposition of white inks/ screen type printing effects,” Koradia added.

He said there is a growing need from narrow web printers for labels with high white opacity as well as screen/ tactile effects. But, at the same time, due to certain costs constraints they do want to go for screen printing units in the narrow-web machines. Our newly developed solution can provide both these results through anilox. “Of course, we also need to ensure that inks, plate and other parameters are also in place,” he added.

The other important product from the company is the anilox cleaning solutions. “It’s important for each and every customer to understand the anilox cleaning and handling process. We have developed water soluble cleaning solutions ,one solution for all type of inks, varnishes and coatings,” Koradia said.

He said the label industry is clocking double digit growth year on year. “The number of machines being sold globally and in India is a reflection of this growth. We are very optimistic about the growth of this industry with the same pace in years to come,” he added.

Koradia said Labelexpo Europe is the best place to meet and interact with global players in the label printing industry. “Plus, being part of the exhibition helped us gather a large database for future business opportunities, especially in overseas markets” he added.
