At its stall, the company also demonstrated samples of MGI Jetvarnish 3D Web. This has been designed for both 2D/3D embossed spot coating over flexo, offset or digital web-fed printed output. This is the first machine that is being demonstrated in the role format for digital UV and foiling applications. It’s the first time the machine was being showcased to Indian customers.

The company also demonstrated the functionalities of the AccurioLabel 230. “A variety of applications are being demonstrated on the machine. In fact, we are also demonstrating security solutions and variable data printing on the machine,” Vijay Kamat, product manager, IP, Konica Minolta, said.

Next year, Konica Minolta will launch the AccurioLabel 400 in India. “This comes with CMYK and plus white colour. We have announced a lot of features in this machine, including the white colour and the increased speed,” said Kamat.

This product will allow customers to expand their businesses in the growing markets of digital label production and packaging. “A lot of label converters have shown interest in the machine,” he added.

The company currently has 13 digital label printing machines installed across India, and is hoping to grow the number, particularly for AccurioLabel 230.

Kamat said the company has received good responses for its products so far and hope to increase it in the coming days of the expo.
