Label Solutions opens house to showcase 10-colour Taiyo UV flexo press

This is the second installation of Taiyo STF-340 in India. The first machine is installed at Delhi’s Regal Creative.

Hemant Pathak, managing partner, Label Solutions, said, “Before Taiyo, we were using a refurbished Mark Andy press. The new investment is driven by the increase in demand for label jobs. After exploring the market, we found Taiyo press to suit all our requirements. Before finalising the machine, we visited Taiyo’s customer in China. We were impressed to see 40 Taiyo flexo machines operating on one shopfloor.”

The Taiyo STF 340

Gaurav Sachdev, vice president of Standard Printers Providers, said, “The Taiyo flexo press is a versatile kit. It can handle paper, film and board substrates of thickness as low as 20 microns and up to 350gsm paperboards.” 

The Taiyo STF-340 has a maximum web width of 340mm and is equipped with BST Eltromat inspection system, UV Ray’s UV curing system and servo drive built by Rexrotch in Germany.

“The machine weighs around 16 tonnes more than regular label press. This makes it more stable and minimises the vibrations while running at high speed, thereby achieving precise job registration,” added Sachdev. 

Sunil Sawant, managing partner of Label Solutions said, “The USP of the machine is that it runs cold foiling at the speed of 150mpm whereas other machines could only offer speed of 70-80 mpm”

The machine can also be equipped with optional features like rotary silk screen printing, hot wind dryer, intermittent die-cut, in-mould label device, and sheet cut unit among others.

Label Solutions has opted for a rotary screen printing unit, which will be fitted on the machine next month, informed Sachdev.

Label Solutions, which was established in 2015, has companies like Emami, Anchor, Wockhardt and Alkem among others on its client roster.
